The BPMA has a thriving programme of exhibitions. All of these are available as online exhibitions, and in addition we have a number of exhibitions that are solely online.

Current exhibitions

Each year we mount a year-long exhibition in the small display are in our Search Room at The Royal Mail Archive, as well as mount a number offsite.

Designs on Delivery

Designs on DeliveryView exhibition

From the 1930s onwards the Post Office became a leader in the field of poster design, commissioning some of Britain's best artists and designers. The commercial poster reached cultural maturity during this period and became the most eloquent of the mass media.

Mount Pleasant Religious Organisations

Mount Pleasant mail centre is home to a number of social, sporting, cultural and religious groups. This exhibition looks at the three of them - the Hindu, Sikh and Muslim Associations - and how these groups socialise, worship and celebrate their festivals.

Gentleman on Stamps

Gentleman on StampsView exhibition

David Gentleman has designed 103 issued stamps for Royal Mail since 1962. This exhibition features the artwork for many of these and some designs which have never been seen in public before.

Empire Mail: George V and the GPO

Empire Mail: George V and the GPOGuildhall Art Gallery, City of London

This major exhibition will look at the passions of King George V, the 'philatelist king', alongside an extraordinary period of design and innovation in the General Post Office during his reign. More information
