New postcard exhibition at Tower Bridge

A century of forgotten views and voices will live again in Greetings from Tower Bridge, a fascinating selection of postcards of Tower Bridge which goes on display at The Tower Bridge Exhibition from 20 October - 31 December 2007.
Images and messages dating back over a hundred years create an endearing vignette of London's most famous icon and the people who have known it. The oldest image on display depicts the official opening of Tower Bridge in 1894, the same year in which the Post Office first sanctioned the commercial publication of postcards which could be mailed with a stick-on stamp.
