The Royal Mail Archive is open Monday to Friday, and on selected Saturdays. We are closed on all public holidays.
Regular Opening Times
Monday to Wednesday - 10.00am - 5.00pm
Thursday - 10.00am - 7.00pm
Friday - 10.00am - 5.00pm
Please note: The Archive Search Room is occasionally closed for events. Please check the list below.
Noise in the Search Room
Due to essential building works taking place adjacent to our building, the Search Room is currently experiencing high noise levels. We are working closely with the contractors to minimise the disruption. This work is expected to continue until mid October.
Please keep this in mind when planning a research visit. Ear plugs are highly recommended. The noise levels may also make dealing with telephone enquiries difficult, please do bear with us.
The Archive is open on the second Saturday of every month. However, the Archive will be closed the Mondays after the open Saturdays.
