Copying Services

The British Postal Museum & Archive has photocopying facilities and self-service microfilm printers. We also allow self-service photography free of charge.

Self-service photography

We allow users to make copies of the records using their own equipment (i.e. Cameras, Digi Cams and Camcorders) in the Search Room, providing the following conditions are met:

  • The user registers with us as a camera user;
  • A master copyright declaration (PDF, 15.6KB) must be signed;
  • The user follows handling guidelines and the advice of Search Room staff at all times.

The use of flash or tripods is not permitted. We may also refuse to allow the copying of certain documents, such as those that are particularly fragile.

Out of respect for other users photography is restricted to the copying of documents only. Before signing the master copyright declaration form, please read our Photography Policy (Word, 189KB).
