The Penny Black Changed the World

The Penny Black Changed the World learning pack was produced as part of the HLF-funded project The Penny Black Changed the World. This project aimed to digitise and increase access to the world-renowned Victorian stamp collection of Reginald M. Phillips, which tells the story of the development of the postage stamp in the 19th Century.

The learning pack provides a range of historical sources and lesson ideas linked to the Key Stage 2 History curriculum and study of the Victorians.
