Stamps in Schools
Stamps in Schools is a free outreach service, sponsored by the BPMA and available to primary and secondary schools throughout the UK. Stamps and other materials from the BPMA collection are used to illustrate the rich history of pre-paid postage, supporting the curriculum at Key Stages 1-3 and enriching it by encouraging students to take up one of the world’s most popular hobbies.
Each session lasts for one hour, can be delivered to 1 or 2 classes at a time, and includes cross-curricular links to a wide range of subjects including Literacy, Numeracy, History, Geography, Art & Design or Citizenship. Sessions can also be tailored to link to class projects such as 'The Victorians' and 'Communications'.
Stamps in Schools is coordinated by retired teacher Erene Grieve. For more information about the service, or to book a visit, please contact Erene directly:
