The People

The Associations are all about people. It is the members that set up these communities within Mount Pleasant and have kept them running through the years. On the pages below you can listen to the stories of the people in these associations, recorded during the festivals the BPMA attended. You can hear fascinating first hand accounts of people's experiences of migrating to London and working for Royal Mail.

Please note, these recordings were conducted during the celebrations for the religious festivals and so may include some background noise.
