Think Ahead, Write Instead Card
A greetings card featuring the 1945 poster Think Ahead, Write Instead by Hans Schleger (Zero).
Hans Schleger, aka Zero, was born in Germany and spent time in America before coming to the UK in 1932. One of the first emigre designers to arrive here, he became a leading figure in the development of modern British graphic design and received a number of commissions from the Post Office during the war years. This poster is part of a campaign responding to wartime pressures on telephone services due to the mobilisation of staff.
The card measures 12.2cm x 17cm, comes with a white envelope and is blank on the inside.
